Mr. Victor is the nationally recognized leader in applying decision-tree analysis to assist corporate and outside counsel in determining settlement value and planning pretrial and trial strategy. His past consulting retentions have involved some of the largest products liability, toxic waste, insurance coverage, breach of contract, foreign expropriation, patent infringement, antitrust, securities fraud, consumer fraud, corporate bankruptcy, employment discrimination and other lawsuits and claims — many of which settled for more than $1 billion. He has been the subject of articles in the ABA Journal, the National Law Journal, the American Lawyer, House Counsel, the New York Law Journal, and Business Week, as well as a number of blogs such as SettlementPerspectives.com.

Since 1980, Mr. Victor has offered training in Litigation Risk Analysis through a series of one and two day seminars. Over 10,000 senior legal decision-makers have participated in these seminars and in the many private programs he has presented to prominent law firms, corporate legal departments, insurance claims staffs, and government attorneys.  In 2003, Mr. Victor was presented with the Education Award of Excellence by the American College of Civil Trial Mediators.

He has been a Visiting Professor at Tulane Law School, and has lectured frequently at Stanford, Hastings, and other law schools around the country.  He has also addressed numerous bar groups including the Section of Litigation of the ABA. In addition Mr. Victor is the author of a number of articles on the application of decision-tree analysis to litigation.

Mr. Victor graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. degree in economics from Dartmouth College. He received his J.D. degree from Stanford Law School and his M.B.A. degree from Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is a member of the State Bar of California.
